Been missing awhile - lots of writing and craft shows will do that. This is one project I finished awhile ago - it measures about three inches tall, made of glass pearls, wire, and a crystal heart with a crystal finial on top. The ribbons are so I can wear it.

Arrrr! Tomorrow (Sept 19th) be International Talk Like a Pirate Day! I be ready, with my new mini tricorn hat. This little fancy be measurin’ 6” at its widest and ~2” tall.

Why do the simple things never work?

I’m trying something new. Trying to transfer words onto polymer clay. I tried the way my book says - nada.  So I tried using the baked bits and liquid sculpey, following another tutorial. The result? So faint it wasn’t worth it. Zip. So I tried using water to rub off the paper, as I’d heard another tutorial. Bupkiss.

I’ve peeled it off, gonna try some other tutorials later tonight with fresh clay. Gonna think of some stuff to do with the bits from before - the only ink that stayed is some smears that won’t come off, got all the liquid Sculpey off. Wish me luck - if these work then they’ll be at our next craft show.

I kept worrying that I was going to ruin my tophats by letting them hang around my room, and though I can’t store the ones on headbands very well, I made a hatbox for the patriotic one. This hatbox is made of cardboard and wallpaper, with brass studs for added stability.

This is my main dollhouse, and it’s pretty old. I made it a long time ago, and it…needs renovating. So this is a major project I’ve taken on. Just gonna post some pics here as it goes along. This is a before I start anything pic.
